Spirit Island

Spirit Island is a cooperative, highly thematic strategy game where players are powerful spirits defending a remote island from invading colonizers. Each spirit has unique elemental powers, represented by a deck of cards, that grow in strength as they expand their presence on the island. The game's core mechanic is a reverse-Catan style of play: instead of building and spreading, players work together to manage the semi-predictable actions of the invaders who explore, build, and ravage using a mix of fast and slow powers. The goal is to generate enough "fear" or destroy enough settlements to drive the invaders away before the island becomes irrevocably "blighted."
