Risk

Risk
Risk is a classic area control game where 2-6 players battle for world domination. Players take turns deploying and attacking with armies across a map divided into territories. Dice rolls determine the outcome of battles. The objective varies depending on the game setup, but typically involves eliminating all opponents or conquering a specific number of territories. Strategic alliances can form and break, and careful troop deployment and calculated risks are essential to expand your empire and achieve global supremacy. Be prepared for long games and potential table-flipping moments!

Combat involves rolling dice to determine casualties. Attackers roll up to three dice based on the number of attacking armies, while defenders roll up to two. The highest dice are compared, and the loser removes an army. Ties favor the defender.
When you conquer a territory, you must move at least as many armies into the new territory as the minimum number of armies the rulebook says is required (usually one, but more armies may be strategically beneficial). You also draw a Risk card at the end of your turn if you conquered at least one territory.
You receive armies at the beginning of each turn based on the territories you control, the value of continents you control completely, and by turning in sets of Risk cards.
The standard objective of Risk is to conquer all territories on the board, eliminating all other players. However, some versions have alternate objectives, such as completing a secret mission.
