Hielenlikkers" is a card game of intrigue and set collection, with a heavy dose of "take that" interaction. The Dutch title, which translates to "Heel-lickers," perfectly captures the theme of courtly ambition. Players are courtiers competing for the favor of a Queen, but the real goal is to manipulate the status of different noble families. Each turn, you play three cards: one in your area, one in an opponent's area to sabotage them, and one in a central area to influence a family's standing. The final score depends on which families are in favor or disgrace, rewarding players who have collected cards from the most popular families while also cunningly undermining their rivals.
