This is an expansion for the Catan base game, adding new layers of strategy and competition. Players defend Catan from invading barbarians by recruiting and activating Knights. Cities now produce new Commodities (Paper, Cloth, Coin), which are spent to develop three City Improvement tracks (Trade, Politics, Science). These improvements grant powerful progress cards and the race for Metropolises, which are worth bonus victory points, dramatically increases the complexity and points needed to win.
