Players draft colorful acrylic tiles and strategically place them on their personal player board to decorate the Sultan's summer pavilion. Unlike previous Azul games, you'll be forming larger groups of the same color to score points, and leftover tiles can be used as wilds in later rounds. The player with the most points after six rounds of elegant tile placement wins.

You score points for placing tiles on your player board according to the specific pattern requirements for each star. You also earn bonus points for completing sets of colors and for covering certain spaces on your board with all six colors.

Leftover tiles in the factories, and the center of the table, are discarded to the tower. The discarded tiles are used to replenish tiles at the start of each round. If the tower is empty, the scoring round will not be able to complete.

Yes, at the start of the round, the first player token indicates what color will be wild. A wild tile can be used as any other tile type during placement.
