In Ark Nova, 1-4 players design a modern zoo, balancing animal appeal with conservation efforts. Through strategic card play and tile placement, you build enclosures, sponsor projects, and hire specialists. Each turn, you choose from five action cards with varying strengths, aiming to connect your appeal and conservation markers to trigger the game's end. The player with the largest gap between these markers at the end wins.

We collect all the questions you players have asked us and put them on this page so we can share the answers with everyone.

Reputation determines the maximum distance you can build from your starting location and is crucial for accessing certain scoring opportunities and conservation projects.

The goal is to have your Conservation point and Appeal marker cross each other on their respective tracks. The further past each other they are when the game ends, the more points you score.

Appeal is primarily gained by building enclosures and filling them with animals. You also get appeal through sponsor cards and some conservation projects.

Conservation Projects are a key way to score points. Sponsoring these projects earns you Conservation Points. Contributing to them grants Conservation points and often other bonuses and benefits.
