Combat is resolved using dice rolls, modified by ship stats and any special abilities. Players roll dice to determine damage, and the ship with the higher damage wins the round. Certain ships might have advantages in certain combat ranges.
There are typically different types of ships, such as frigates, galleons, and sloops. Each ship has different stats for movement, attack, and defense. Some may also have special abilities, such as increased cargo capacity or improved firing range.
Victory points are usually earned by controlling key locations on the board, completing objectives, sinking enemy ships, or acquiring valuable resources.
If your ship is sunk, it is removed from the game board. Depending on the rules, you may have a penalty or the opportunity to respawn at your home base after a certain number of turns.
